The single-level houses are a favorite with all age groups. The styles are numerous, from a basic roof line to numerous gables and cantilevers. Siding can also be used in combination with either brick or stone. The house can be situated on a crawl space foundation or constructed on a poured wall basement foundation. One of the prominent features of a single-level house is the absence of steps, unless of course a basement is elected. Some single-level homes have optional bonus storage/finished area for now or future expansion. You might be interested in a split bedroom single- level design, which gives a greater measure of privacy to the master bedroom since the other bedrooms are at the opposite end of the house.
